Welcome to k. Norwood Portraiture!
Robert and I are so excited that you are taking time out of your busy day to stop by and check out our portrait work.
Can I tell you a little secret! I love my job! I get to meet so many wonderful people from all walks of life and I get to capture the moments of their families that are most precious to them. Not a lot of people get to do that on a regular basis.
So let me tell you just a little bit about me and my husband...just so you can know us a little better!
Robert and I have been married for almost 40 years. We met the first day of FISH Camp at Texas A&M...two years later we got married on the day he was commissioned into the USMC as a 2nd Lt., graduated from TAMU (Gig 'Em) and had his Final Review. To say that it was a long day was an understatement. We spent the next 8 years traveling the United States from one coast to the other and in 1986, he got out of the military and began working for American Airlines. Since then we have lived in Ft. Worth, College Station and now have recently located ourselves on the lake in Conroe and are loving our new location.
We have been in business for almost 12 years and in 2009 I passed my Professional Photographers certification test and image submission. This is quite an honor because only 3% of working photographers have done so. I am a proud member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA), and have served as the President of our local Brazos Valley Professional Photographers Association guild for two years, and also as Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. (Yep, I stay pretty busy)
At the beginning of 2017, I received my Photographic Craftsman degree and am currently working on my Master of Photography degree from our professional organization...PPA. Robert has currently been notified that he should receive his Photographic Craftsman degree in January of 2018 in Nashville, TN at Imaging USA. We are pretty excited about his accomplishment.
My job never gets boring and I always want my clients to feel my enthusiasm for their photo event. Whether it is coaxing a smile out of a reluctant 3 year old, or capturing the love of a close family I love the fact that my clients are allowing me the privilege of joining them in their special moment in time.
